Leap into 2022 with the best resolutions!

It’s that time of the year! Santa Claus has returned home after delivering the eagerly awaited surprises. Everyone wishes to kick off the new year with a bang. And then, after all the New year rave parties get over, life switches back to the normal mode. Taking a step ahead in the right direction and trusting yourself would be an ideal way to start a new year.

Resolutions are the first thing we think of during the start of a new year. We make resolutions to achieve something or see a better version of ourselves. Each person has their perspective of resolutions and their own choice of making resolutions in the area they want to improve. Focusing on what we hope to achieve helps us figure out the resolutions we take.

Over this past year, we have gone through a lot in our lives. Intense waves of the pandemic, freshers virtually graduating, shifting to Work from Home, coming back to the office and so on. Looking back at 2021, we’d be proud of certain things while there may be a few downsides too. For a fruitful and worry-free upcoming year, taking focused resolutions would be imperative.

In a work environment too, setting up resolutions can be beneficial to improve productivity and thus enhance career growth. Even the tiny decisions taken can positively impact your work life. If you’re yet to decide on what resolutions you should go for, you’re at the right place. Here’s my take on a few resolutions you could adopt for a productive 2022.

Work productively

Target deadlines are common in every organization, and everyone strives to meet those dates. Therefore, a resolution to reduce the slacking time and focus on the work could be the first resolution to adopt. As humans, we tend to slack at times. However, taking a firm decision boosts morale and helps one achieve targets at the right time.

Upgrade your skill-set

In this world of rapidly emerging technology, the need for skill upgradation is a constant. Upgrading skills will not only be an add-on, but it also enhances individual growth in the workplace. In today’s world, competition is fierce, and even the smallest benefit might offer you an advantage over someone else. Learning a new skill in a field of interest broadens your knowledge, as does learning skills in a field other from your current job.

Authenticate your skills with certifications

Besides learning a new skill, taking a certification from a reputed university or learning platform helps build your resumé. Institutions and organizations all across the globe value certifications obtained by a person during any selection process. New skills and certifications help one take the next step in career growth.

Proper work-life balance

Work-life balance is one of the most important aspects in anyone’s life. Sacrificing one’s life for one’s career, or vice versa, causes complications in one’s daily life. Hence, we need to give equal priority for both work and life. Loving the work you do and having a positive mentality helps to improve quality at work. But, at the same time, unplug yourself after work and sink into your hobbies and your world of entertainment. Setting a proper work-life balance helps you excel in work and experience the entertainment and fun life gives.

Strengthen your connections

Everything is online today. This online era has led to the rise in the importance of online networking. Networking helps you connect with a person from the opposite corner of the earth via a simple click. Building connections online help you to expand your reach and social circle. In addition, connections can help you learn different technologies, perspectives, and certifications and help when seeking new opportunities.

These are just a few resolutions one can adopt to improve themselves. The best way to decide the resolutions would be to identify the areas that one lacks and set realistic targets to improve. Priorities have to be given to every downfall. Each year we hope to see a better version of ourselves. Bouncing back from our mistakes and taking the right decisions helps us reach a better position in life. Setting realistic resolutions helps us take the first step towards this goal. Remember! Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction.
